A 44-year-old woman, Oluyele Oluwakemi, was today arraigned before an Osogbo Magistrates’ Court over alleged N390,000 fraud.
Oluwakemi pleaded not guilty to a three-count charge of conspiracy and fraud preferred against her.
The Police Prosecutor, Insp Adeoye Kayode, told the court that the defendant committed the offence in July, at the capital area, Osogbo.
Kayode said the defendant conspired with others at large to defraud one Olawole Ibuowo, of the sum of N390,000 after failing to meet up with a business transaction between them.
The prosecutor said the offences contravened sections 390 (9), 419 and 516 of the criminal code cap 34 vol. 11, Laws of Osun, 2002.

The Defense Counsel, Mr Okobie Najite, prayed the court to grant his client bail in the most liberal terms.
The Magistrate, Mrs O.A Daramola, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N 200, 000 with two sureties in the like sum.
Daramola said the sureties must reside within the court’s jurisdiction, provide evidence of tax payments and passport-sized photographs, attached with an affidavit of means.
She then adjourned the case until Nov. 2, for a hearing.
