A Shari’a Court sitting in Magajin Gari, Kaduna on Monday, granted Ahmad Kazeem’s request for time to amicably resolve his matrimonial difference with his wife, Jamilat Abdullahi.
Abdullahi, who filed for divorce, said she was ready to refund the N10,000 dowry.
She is also seeking custody of one of her two children.

But Kazeem, who told the court not to grant his wife’s request, said he wanted to keep his family together and he still loved his wife.
The Judge, Malam Murtala Nasir, held that it was right for Abdullahi to seek for divorce by Khul’i (the right of a woman in Islam to seek a divorce or separation from her husband).
Nasir adjourned the matter until Aug.10, to enable the respondent to explore the possibility of amicable resolution of the disagreement with his wife. (NAN)
